Feature Summary: Invoice Creation Page Enhancement

The Invoice Creation Page within the Billing Module is being enhanced to improve user experience and flexibility in invoice management. This update introduces a new dropdown feature labeled "Invoice Format", allowing users to select the desired invoice format during the creation process.

Key Features:

  1. Dropdown/Selector for Invoice Format

    • Description: A dropdown labeled "Invoice Format" will be added to the invoice creation page.
    • Default Behavior: The system will auto-select the invoice format based on the customer or business type. However, users will have the option to manually change the format if needed.
    • Preview Button: Users can preview the invoice in the selected format before finalizing it, ensuring accuracy and satisfaction with the presentation.

  2. Customer Master Settings

    • Default Format Setting: Users can set a default invoice format for each customer in their profile. This feature is particularly useful for businesses dealing with recurring B2B or B2C clients, allowing for seamless and consistent invoicing.

  3. Company Settings > Invoice Template Settings

    • Manage Formats: A user interface will be provided to create, edit, and name multiple invoice templates. This flexibility supports diverse business needs and preferences.
    • Set Default Per Module: Users can choose default invoice formats for different modules such as retail, wholesale, or export, ensuring the invoice aligns with specific business operations.

  4. Print/Download Options

    • Format Selection for Past Invoices: When reprinting or downloading past invoices, users will have the option to select a different format. This ensures adaptability and customization in historical data presentation.
